summer dreaming... happy weekend!

As a result of this cold weather, we can't help but look forward to those summer days and vacation time!! Below are some of our favorites that we found. Usually, we shop for our swim suits on VictoriasSecret.com although, the only downfall to this is that everybody on the beach winds up with the same bikini (NOT fun). This year we wanted to try something a little different. Let the swim suit shopping begin ladies ;)
 (LOVE her.... mwaha)

 Bandeau tops
 Geometric patterns
 Floral Print
 Knit Cover-Ups
 Animal Print (love cheeky bottoms)
 Monokini
One piece (LOVE the fringe trend!!)

All the swimsuits above can be found here
happy shopping, enjoy your weekend

bold and the beautiful

If you're trying to make a statement, BOLD is the way to go! Whether clothing, hair, lips, or nails, it will accentuate any simple look. There are many bold colors out for spring, try adding some flavor to your look by mix and matching different vibrant colors
Rihanna made a huge statement this year with her transition from a deep brunette to both red and orange. We love Rihanna's new look and think it truly looks beautiful with her complexion and features.
Above is our friend Natasha who also looks amazing in her bold red do. Not too many people can pull this look off, clearly she did it effortlessly!
When using bold lip colors, we feel its important to apply the rest of your makeup minimally so that it doesn't take away from your lips. The contrast with these bright colors should be enough to really make your eyes pop.
Meet our friend Mira! She is wearing pink, red, and purple lips in the above photos with only mascara on her eyes. Although all of these colors are so different from one another, they all compliment her and her skin tone beautifully.
Fun, FUN, fun! Dare to be different?

We love to change our nail color for some weekly spunking! OPI is our fav :)

make-up riché

One of our many favorite indulgences is make-up. You can never have enough colors added to your collection! We do have to admit that M.A.C is our favorite brand, simply because of their quality, colors, and prices. We would like to share with you our  favorites from our collection of eyeshadows, blushes, bronzers, primers, lipsticks, lipglosses, etc.

Above are our most used crucial eyeshadow colors. Although we tend to stick to neutrals, it is always fun to spice it up with some color on the weekends. If you need any of the names of the shadows, feel free to ask!

Depending on the season and color of our complexion, our blushes vary, though these tend to be our top picks for our olive skin tone:
From most used to the right: Sheertone Shimmer Blush: "Springsheen"(spring/summer tone), Satin: "Fleur Power" (People's StyleWatch top spring blush color), Sheertone Shimmer Blush: "Sweet As Cocoa"(winter tone), Sheertone Blush: "Loverush"(fall tone), Sheertone Blush: "Blushbaby"(summer tone).

Lipsticks:
Left to right: creamsheen: “creme in your coffee”, creamsheen: “creme d’nude”, amplified: “craving”, glaze: “hue”(current FAV),  matte: “viva glam red”, creamsheen: “shy girl”, satin: "rebel", amplified: "cosmo"
Glosses:
creamsheen glass: “richer, lusher”, creamsheen glass: “boy bait”
Unlike M.A.C.'s Lipglass lipglosses, Creamsheen glass gives you a lighter, non-sticky feeling on your lips with the same luscious effect-- MUCH better!
Lipliners:
Pencil: "Oak" ("Subculture", which is not pictured, is also one of our top fav's-- it is more of a pink tone rather than a neutral).
*Lisa is a FIRM believer in lipliner, seriously, the girl SWEARS by it and turned everyone (including Daniella) to her serious obsession. Admittingly, it does truly accentuate every lip color and most importantly, the SIZE and shape of your lips. Ultimately-- not going back to the non-lipliner days!!! EEEK.

Foundation & Bronzer:
Top left to right:
Studio Tech (a cream based foundation which smoothes skin and eliminates blemishes and evens skin tones) -- Lisa prefers to use Studio Tech for the fact that it gives her pigment to her skin tone and is long lasting.
Studio Fix (a powder based, sheer quick to apply foundation also smoothes skin tones and eliminates blemishes with a lighter feel) -- Daniella prefers Studio Fix because it allows her to have a more even skin tone without the greasier feel.
Ultimately, you can actually use both if you are applying makeup for the weekend or an important night out ( HOT DATE ;) )for GREAT facial coverage.
Below:
Mineralize Skin Finish Bronzers by M.A.C., the one to the left being a darker, shimmery tone and the other a lighter completely matte tone. (Depending on the occasion/look you are going for).
Last is one of our favorites, loose mineral bronzer by Bare Minerals (color: "warmth") -- INSTANT tan for those pale days ladies.... you know.

Ok, OK.... too many gadgets up here. WELL, all we really wanted to cover was the primers, which ladies are SO CRUCIAL when applying makeup. We would always wonder how makeup artists were able to apply such long-lasting makeup jobs which always look so flawless in pictures. Once we got turned onto makeup primers that was never again a question! (YIPPY!)
The black container is a makeup primer by Arbonne (kind of like an Avon company) which is a really great silicone based primer that leaves your skin feeling incredibly silky. It allows makeup to be applied more evenly and stay on far longer than usual.
Same results with the green container by Make Up Forever (purchased at Sephora) although it has a more lotion feel to it. This can be selected based on your skin tone/texture. -- worn by many celebs. really great investment!!

Seriously, it's SO important to be organized with your makeup, otherwise your never going to utilize all of your colors and products.  We both have our own, and this mini organizer truly changed our cosmetic lives forever, mwahaha
Best part is, it was purchased for $5 at Dollar General. So go buy one and thank us later :)

the high wasted pant & cropped top

Rihanna in nude high wasted crop pant and baby blue knit both from the Alexander Wang Resort 2011 Collection and Louboutin lucifer bow heels
And once again in a bold orange high waisted pant paired with a purple cropped top,
looks fantastic on her!
We decided to go for the high waisted pant, minus the cropped tops for a recent bridal shower.
Both patterned, high waisted silk pants were purchased at HM. We plan to wear them both again with more bold, solid colored cropped tops... ah, the beauty of mix and match!
Lisa is wearing cream and black tribal patterned high waisted pants with zippers on the outer ankles. Although it's hard to tell the tank is cropped, she cut an older purple tank top for the cropped effect. The beige cropped blazer is also from HM.
